Everhart Advisors is a growing, dynamic, and progressive independent fee-based advisory firm, and we have an immediate need to add members to our Dublin office Wealth management/tax services team.
As a Tax Staff team member, you will have direct contact with a wide range of clients, and will be responsible for the preparation of corporation, partnership and individual income tax returns, as well as other client-service tasks and assignments.
Our ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience within the tax department of a public accounting firm, with prior exposure to federal, state, and local income tax compliance for individuals, S Corporations, and partnerships. The ideal candidate will also have the desire to work in a team environment which focuses on collaboration, contribution, self-motivation, and client service.
Responsibilities of this position include:
· Preparation of a variety of tax returns, including business, personal, trust and other taxes
· Monitoring the workflow and due dates for assigned client projects
· Assisting other tax department personnel with client matters, including responding to notices from tax agencies, assistance with IRS examinations, and preparation of client advice letters
· Keeping current with accounting and tax issues and legislative changes
Position requirements:
· A Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
· 1-5 years’ direct experience in the tax department of a public accounting firm, with experience preparing income tax returns for individuals and businesses
· CPA, CPA eligible, or a specific plan to obtain eligibility to take the CPA exam, and a plan to complete the exam as a career goal
