A Typical Day in the Life: As a tax associate, you will prepare and review tax returns, as well as assist in audits, notices, and research. Responsibilities may include: Mastering prep of level two and level 5 returns Developing business writing skills by responding to Federal/State notices Becoming familiar with tax research programs and effectively researching basic tax questions. Enhancing knowledge of client businesses. Developing a general and growing knowledge of firm products and services. Assisting in administrative functions. Acting as a resource for interns on tax process and basic tax technical questions.
