VSINGH CPA LLC is a growing GovCon finance and accounting firm specializing in delivering top-tier tax, accounting, and advisory services to our clients, including Department of Defense government contractors and small businesses. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Associate who is passionate about tax law, strategic tax planning, and delivering measurable savings for clients.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Tax Associate will play a key role in researching tax codes and regulations, identifying new tax-saving strategies, and preparing accurate and timely tax returns for individuals and businesses. This position requires strong technical tax knowledge, analytical skills, and a client-focused mindset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, EA, or working toward certification preferred).
  • 2+ years of tax preparation and planning experience preferred (public accounting firm experience is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and filing requirements.
  • Proficient in tax research and tax preparation software (experience with Drake or CCH preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

    Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities
  • Research and interpret federal, state, and local tax codes, regulations, and rulings.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and identify opportunities for client tax savings.
  • Develop tax strategies tailored to each client’s financial situation.
  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, partnership, and S-corporation tax returns.
  • Assist in resolving IRS and state tax notices or audits.
  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance and efficiency in tax preparation and planning.
  • Communicate complex tax concepts to clients in clear, simple terms.
