Description As a Tax & Assurance Advisor at Platform Accounting Group, you will engage in diverse public accounting tasks, including tax preparation, financial statement audits, reviews and compilations, and consulting. What you will do: Prepare work papers and perform audit/review/compilation procedures for assurance engagements Prepare financial statements (including full footnote disclosures) for assurance engagements Perform high level analytic analysis on client financial data Determine and recommend corrections to client’s books/records to be in accordance with GAAP Utilize various trial balance, depreciation, tax and other software to prepare tax returns and organize assurance documentation Prepare and self-review a wide variety of tax returns such as S corporations, C Corporations, partnerships, LLC’s, individuals and trusts) What we look for: Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis on accounting; candidate should have taken classes sufficient to be able to sit for the Uniform CPA Exam 0 - 3 years’ experience in the public accounting industry CPA license preferred or actively working towards Excellent communication, attention to detail, strong analytical skills Proficient with accounting software, and ability to learn new systems quickly Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Proactive problem solving and ability to self-manage projects Experience with Ultra Tax and Checkpoint Engage a plus Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel What we offer: Tremendous opportunity for advancement within a rapidly growing professional services firm Ongoing informal and formal training and development Very competitive compensation 401(k) and medical benefits Firm sponsored continuing education
