Job Summary:
Responds to inquiries from tribal members by mail, telephone, or in-person requesting tags, titles, liens, and taxes, review title and registrations, collect and mail dropped-off information, and forward letters to tribal members.
Job Duties:
Responds to inquiries from tribal members by mail, telephone, or in person. Reviews tribal members’ title and registration for any errors. Collects and mails dropped off information to complete vehicle registration. Prepares title recall letters to members when errors have been discovered. Prepares situation letters to members concerning detected errors or omissions for proper documentation required. Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Motor Vehicle.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
High school or general education degree (GED).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
At least six months experience in a related field.
COMPUTER SKILLS
An individual should have knowledge of Database software and Word Processing software.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Carries out tax rules and regulations and understands Cherokee Nation Tax Law 68CNCA.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Employee must not be and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers; or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
No supervisory responsibility.
