This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Tax Manager - REMOTE. In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing and managing tax compliance for various funds. Collaborating with a talented team, your contributions will directly influence the operational success of the fund's financial activities. You will engage with experts in finance and technology and leverage your knowledge to enhance tax operations. Your expertise will also drive strategic initiatives to improve and scale our team's infrastructure. Join a vibrant and dynamic environment where your work truly makes a difference. \n Accountabilities Ownership of assigned funds and legal entities, ensuring full-cycle U.S. tax compliance. Review federal and state tax returns and investor K-1s for multiple funds. Respond to investor tax inquiries with clear, well-written communication. Correspond directly with banks, investors, and legal counsel. Manage ad-hoc tax-related requests accurately and timely. Partner with fund accounting and operations teams on recurring processes. Conduct monthly ASC 740 assessments for proper accounting of income taxes. Requirements 4-6 years of experience in hedge fund tax compliance and reporting. Expertise in partnership taxation (Subchapter K) for hedge funds. Deep understanding of IRC provisions applicable to hedge funds. Ability to explain tax issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience preparing and reviewing tax forms including PFICs and CFCs. Proactive in identifying tax planning opportunities. Experience with onshore (U.S.) and offshore (Cayman) fund structures. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Preferred experience in asset management tax with a Big 4 or top-tier firm.
