This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic tax environment, engage with local and foreign vendors, and manage critical tax processes including withholding taxes, sales tax, and monthly regulatory filings.You will play a key role in resolving tax-related queries, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting continuous improvement in tax operations. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. Your key responsibilities Solve and clear all daily tax and GR-related queries. Manually provide tax treatments for GR discrepancies and shortage issues. Counsel vendors on tax matters through email communication. Review, update, and approve Cora issues and highlight vendor errors. Handle exemption certificate queries, responses, and updates. Prepare weekly local withholding tax payments (UPL & UPFL). Match all documents to payments and extract refund cases for tracking. Maintain refund data, especially items mistakenly deducted by Cora. Prepare merged payment files and CPRs for vendors. Counsel vendors regarding refund status and related concerns. Manage foreign withholding tax payments and post them in Blackline. Provide deduction certificates to foreign vendors when required. Work monthly on Time Bart purchase data for UPL. Match e‑invoicing with output reports to determine invoices for manual Annex C upload. Extract BR from SAP to identify lines requiring manual uploads. Prepare and upload templates in FBR and validate Annex C accuracy. Review each invoice to determine claimable vs. non‑claimable sales tax. Accept claimable invoices on the FBR portal. Process monthly sales tax claims (approx. 50M on Time Bart alone). Prepare monthly sales tax withholding statements on IRIS. Extract GL data from SAP for withholding calculations. Verify withholding accuracy by checking invoices in Cora and tax opinions. Allocate withholding across provincial jurisdictions. Prepare provincial PSIDs and upload payment templates in Blackline. Prepare draft returns for PRA, BRA, KPRA, and SRB. Perform Sindh Sales Tax Distribution Margin workings for UPL and UPFL. Extract SAP data and verify customer registration status via SRB. Prepare workings and payments for registered customers based on CD team invoices. Prepare workings for unregistered customers using SAP data and post entries in SAP. File calculations with SRB monthly return Skills and Attributes for Success Strong knowledge of local and foreign withholding tax processes. Understanding of sales tax rules, claim procedures, and tax treatment principles. Experience working with SAP, FBR portal, SRB system, and Blackline. Ability to prepare PSIDs, CPRs, payment files, and statutory templates. Strong analytical and reconciliation skills for large data volumes. Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in tax calculations and reviews. Effective communication skills for handling vendor queries. Strong organizational skills to manage weekly and monthly tax cycles. Ability to review invoices, identify tax discrepancies, and apply correct treatments.
