Competitive compensation and benefits. Responsibilities The Tax Director will be a hands-on senior individual contributor responsible for managing the company’s tax matters across Israel and Europe. This role is suited for an experienced tax professional who can independently execute tax compliance, planning, and advisory activities while helping build scalable tax processes for a growing renewable energy business. Initially, the position does not include people management responsibilities but requires close collaboration with Finance, Legal, and external advisors. Key Responsibilities: Tax Compliance & Execution • Independently manage corporate income tax compliance for Israel and European jurisdictions, coordinating with external advisors where required. • Prepare, review, and manage tax provisions and tax disclosures in accordance with IFRS. • Handle tax filings, payments, and reporting calendars to ensure timely compliance. • Manage tax audits, inquiries, and correspondence with tax authorities. International Tax & Planning • Provide hands-on tax planning support for cross-border operations, financing structures, and profit repatriation. • Advise on tax implications of new projects, acquisitions, restructurings, and business expansions. • Monitor international tax developments (OECD BEPS, EU directives, Pillar Two) and assess their impact on the company. Indirect Tax (VAT & Withholding) • Collaborate closely with the finance managers in each country to ensure full compliance and timely refunds. • Oversee withholding tax matters on dividends, interest, and intercompany payments. Transfer Pricing • Implement and maintain transfer pricing policies for intercompany transactions. • Coordinate preparation of transfer pricing documentation with external advisors. Governance & Controls • Establish tax policies, procedures, and documentation standards. • Support internal controls over tax reporting and alignment with SOX requirements where applicable. • Build the foundation for a scalable tax function to support future growth. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting. • CPA or equivalent international tax qualification. • 8–10 years of relevant tax experience, including international and European tax. • Strong hands-on experience with Israeli and European corporate tax and VAT. • Solid understanding of IFRS tax accounting. • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, growing environment. Preferred • Experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or project-based industries. • Familiarity with transfer pricing and cross-border financing structures. • Strong communication skills and business-oriented mindset.
