Job Description
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Mattel is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Corporate Tax Director to join our dynamic tax team. This key leadership role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of U.S. direct tax operations, including federal and state income tax compliance, domestic tax provision, tax planning, and controversy management. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in domestic corporate taxation, a working knowledge of international tax concepts such as GILTI, FDII, and Subpart F, and strong experience in managing teams and cross-functional collaboration.
This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Tax Operations, who leads the company’s global tax provision and US tax compliance. The Corporate Tax Director will play a critical role in supporting enterprise-wide tax initiatives, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, maintaining compliance, and delivering tax insights to drive business decision-making.
This is a high-impact role offering broad exposure across finance, legal, accounting, and treasury functions, as well as the opportunity to lead and mentor a talented team of tax professionals.
