Let’s shape the future of wealth management together. The incumbent supports the regional tax function in managing corporate tax compliance, advisory, and regulatory matters for the Bank. The role requires strong technical knowledge of Singapore and Hong Kong tax regulations, experience in financial services taxation, and the ability to work closely with internal/external stakeholders and external advisors. YOUR CHALLENGE Tax Compliance & Reporting Prepare/review corporate income and indirect tax computations and tax returns Compute and analyse monthly corporate and deferred tax provisions Prepare Head Office tax reports Liaise with external tax agents on tax filings and statutory submissions Regulatory & Withholding Tax Matters Analyse and provide response to IRAS tax queries and corporate taxation matters Manage withholding tax filings and reporting obligations Support internal and external audit processes relating to tax matters Support IRAS' GST ACAP/PAR reviews Advisory & Business Support Advise internal stakeholders on tax implications of banking products and services Provide advice on tax withholdings, GST , Reverse Charges and other tax queries Provide tax support on new products, transactions, and structuring initiatives Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Matters Prepare/update of Contemporaneous Transfer Pricing documentation for Singapore and Hong Kong entities Coordinate with Head Office Group Tax on cross-border tax matters Tax Risk Management & Controls Prepare internal tax risk reports Maintain tax risk and control framework in line with internal governance standards Ensure proper documentation and record retention for tax compliance Process Improvement/Projects Involved in selected International tax projects Participate in system implementation or transformation projects impacting tax Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management Demonstration of appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations YOUR PROFILE Professional and Technical Degree in Accountancy, Banking and Finance, or its equivalent Minimum 6 years of relevant tax experience in Big 4 accounting firm and/or Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore Strong knowledge of Singapore and Hong Kong corporate tax regulations. Banking/Financial Service industry knowledge will be advantage Personal and Social Meticulous, detail-oriented and have a progressive and positive mindset Sound understanding of tax processes, drive process improvements and efficiencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
