POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Manager to oversee our tax compliance and planning services for high net worth individuals (HNWIs) and ultra-high net worth individuals (UHNWIs). The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing tax strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing expert guidance on various tax matters, including individual and partnership taxation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of tax compliance for individual, partnership, and corporate clients, including preparation of forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041, 709, and 706.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies for high net worth individuals and families, ensuring optimal tax efficiency and compliance.
  • Conduct thorough tax research to stay updated on current tax laws and regulations affecting high net worth clients and their investments.
  • Review tax returns and provide guidance to junior staff on tax preparation and compliance processes.
  • Assist clients with estate and gift tax planning, including fiduciary responsibilities and trust taxation.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as accounting and financial planning, to provide comprehensive tax services to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional service and proactive advice on tax-related matters.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA certification is required; additional certifications such as EA are a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, with a focus on HNW and UHNW clients.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, especially regarding pass-through entities and estate taxes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Experience in public accounting and familiarity with industries such as real estate and construction is preferred.
