POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Manager to oversee and manage all tax-related activities for our organization. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with tax regulations, provide strategic tax planning, and lead a team of tax professionals to optimize our tax position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns
  • Develop tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and enhance profitability
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, and keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation
  • Conduct tax research and provide insights on tax implications of business decisions
  • Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and training
  • Respond to tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare and review tax provisions for financial statements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or public accounting
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
