POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our finance team. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing the tax compliance process, ensuring adherence to all federal, state, and local tax regulations, and providing strategic tax planning and consulting services to our clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA certification required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or public accounting
  • Proficient in tax software and accounting systems, preferably QuickBooks
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Experience with real estate and dental industry tax issues is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively

Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns for various entities including C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, and individuals
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations while providing guidance on tax-related matters
  • Review and oversee tax accounting processes and tax provisions
  • Consult with clients on tax strategies, planning, and compliance issues
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide recommendations to clients
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities as required
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior accountants and tax staff
