Job Description We are looking for a Manager of Taxation to join our global Tax team. This is a critical, high-visibility position offering immense opportunities to learn, tackle complex challenges, and grow alongside our taxation and finance organizations. The Impact You Will Create Strategic Transformation: You will develop and drive departmental initiatives to streamline workflows, automate manual efforts, and achieve operational efficiencies on a global scale. Financial Integrity & Risk Mitigation: By continuously improving end-to-end tax processes and maintaining a deep understanding of tax laws, you will safeguard the company against risks and minimize return-to-provision true-ups. Cross-Functional Enablement: You will act as a trusted advisor to the broader finance group, translating complex tax regulations into clear, actionable business strategies. Roles & Responsibilities Tax Operations & Compliance Manage and prepare comprehensive compliance requirements for both direct and indirect taxes, ensuring timely filing of advance tax compliance. Oversee the preparation and review of tax computations, tax returns, due diligence, and replies to notices. Maintain accurate, audit-ready tax reconciliation workpapers and tax memorandums. Coordinate seamlessly with internal teams and external tax partners to resolve refunds, assessments, and corporate tax advisory issues. Tax Accounting & Financial Reporting Prepare income tax provisions, payables, deferred taxes, and related workings for financial statements in strict alignment with US GAAP and India GAAP. Manage and maintain the company’s indirect tax accounts for financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and ASC 450. Proactively plan and manage tight quarterly close schedules, providing regular updates to reviewers to ensure high-quality execution and eliminate last-minute surprises. Tax Strategy & Audits Monitor and analyze global tax regulation developments, proactively planning for business impacts prior to enactment. Identify areas for continuous process improvement to enhance the accuracy of tax operations and escalate critical tax issues to Management in a timely manner. Lead and assist with tax audits, regulatory inquiries, and notices, while supporting strategic ad-hoc tax projects. Qualifications Skills & Qualifications Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience within a global tax team at a multinational company. A blend of Big Four and industry accounting experience is highly preferred. Technical Expertise: Strong core accounting foundation with practical knowledge of GAAP Financial Accounting, ASC 450, and broad-level ASC 740. Specialized Knowledge: Working knowledge of Transfer Pricing, Permanent Establishment, and withholding taxes. Experience with tax system implementation and automation is a strong plus. Analytical Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical skills with a track record of identifying issues, driving process improvements, and handling complex data. Communication: Highly effective communication skills, specifically the ability to explain complex tax rules using accessible, easy-to-understand terms for non-tax stakeholders. Agility & Accountability: Highly adaptable and accountable, capable of operating with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced, data-driven, and rapidly evolving global tax environment.
