A team that fosters and encourages creativity, resourcefulness, promoting from within, and a work-life balance. #IITFWI **Position is on-site in Irving, TX** Job Purpose: The Tax Manager is responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with tax laws by preparing and filing returns, researching tax issues, and managing audits. Summary of Essential Job Duties: Prepare and file all indirect tax compliance and reporting activities Manage the Property tax, Income tax, and Excise tax filings Mergers and Acquisitions due diligence Ensure timely and accurate filing of VAT, GST, and other indirect tax returns Manage tax audits and manage correspondence with tax authorities Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and IT departments to ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting Advise internal departments on the tax implications of business transactions Develop and implement indirect tax strategies and policies, including process improvements Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors Monitor changes in tax legislation and advise on potential impacts Conduct tax research and provide guidance on tax issues Coordinate projects and monitor progress to ensure deadlines are met Requirements Skills/Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Strong understanding of sales and use tax laws and regulations Proficiency with tax software (Avalara) and Accounting/CRM Tools Excellent Analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy Strong research, communication, and collaboration skills Strong problem-solving skills Hands on experience filing multiple returns Well organized Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant subject matter CPA or CMA preferred A minimum of 5 years of experience with multi-state experience Prior experience with indirect tax software preferred
