Our Mission: We will use our expertise and entrepreneurial spirit to: Nurture future leaders through a supportive, challenging, and enjoyable work environment Provide the highest quality professional services to our clients Utilize our outstanding team and maximize their effectiveness by promoting a healthy balance between work and daily life Work with clients and team members to accomplish their desired results Responsibilities Closely held business and pass-through entity specialization required Multi-state experience with corporate, pass-through, and 1040 clients Plan, manage and develop the company's tax process and compliance-related activities Deliver a full range of tax and advisory services Manage and support members of the accounting and tax teams Research, organize and review client tax documentation Delegate projects to appropriate team members Review the work of team members and peers and provide feedback Track reporting deadlines for clients and manage filing of extensions and estimates when applicable Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments and create strategies to capitalize on changes to tax legislation and educate team members and clients Consult with clients regarding various tax and accounting matters Perform research on tax and accounting topics as required Develop tax plans for individual and business clients Assist with in-house training for professional team members What we’re looking for Bachelor's/Master’s degree in accounting/Tax Certified Public Accountant (required) 4- 10 years experience in public accounting State and local tax experience is preferred Recent experience managing tax engagements Up-to-date working knowledge of U.S. accounting, tax principles & IRS regulations Strong leadership and communication skills Proactive individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Excellent verbal & written communication skills Curiosity/eagerness to learn and to teach and share knowledge Analytical problem-solving abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (required) Experience with QuickBooks & QuickBooks Online (required) Experience with CCH/Axcess – Tax, Scan/Autoflow, Workflow, Document, Engagement (preferred) The perks!
