Support and provides tax technical advice to Senior Managers and above within the tax team. They will have ownership and accountability for certain areas in both compliance and some advisory.
You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Facilitating and managing the preparation and review tax returns and the accurate, timely filing of all tax forms for Americas Hub.
- Managing and overseeing the filing of regular tax returns, including income tax, IGV/GST and other direct or indirect taxes.
- Complex Foreign exchange reconciliations for Tax related accounts and payments.
- Conducting a thorough analysis of taxes to provide expert advice on tax planning and optimisation opportunities to ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Coordinating and managing tax audits, inquiries and notices from tax authorities.
- Maintaining documentation and records related to tax filings, provisions and other tax-related activities.
- Collaborating with external tax consultants on monthly basis and provide all required documents, reconciliations, back up files to allow timely liquidations/filings.
- Collaborating with other departments and teams, such as finance, legal and operations, to ensure alignment and coordination on tax matters.
- Collaborating with UK Tax team for Corporation Taxes, VAT taxes for all regions within Americas.
- Reviewing of quarterly/annual tax provision, and other tax reporting requirements (e.g. consolidation, note disclosures, memos, etc).
- Providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders on financial issues, including tax implications of business decisions and transactions.
- Understanding changes to financial reporting standards and analyze the impact for tax filings purposes.
- Managing transfer pricing risk and compliance, including review of complex cross-border transactions and transfer pricing documentation.
- Managing communications and audits with internal/external/government auditors.
- Responding to internal tax related queries from other cross functional areas and/or senior management.
- Developing and maintaining effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
- Continuously improving efficiencies related to tax processes.
- Staying updated with changes in tax laws and regulations in North America and South America regions and proactively identify potential risks or opportunities for the organisation.
- Planning for and develop overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with tax team.
- Maintaining effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
- Reviewing tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
- Preparing cash flow forecast for Tax related payments.
- Reconciling Tax accounts with local accounts on monthly basis.
- Co-ordinating with the legal representatives for signatures or local compliances
You’ll Need To Have:
- Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Spanish (fluent) and English (proficient).
- Experience around working for a global organisation ideally US or UK centric.
- Relevant experience in a previously held role of the same position.
- Experience of managing financial and accountancy systems.
- Strong background in tax accounting, laws and regulations.
- Have excellent interpersonal skills.

You’ll Also Have:
- Oracle
- Qualifications in Tax and Accounting.
- Tax understanding for Peru, Colombia, Mexico, USA, Puerto Rico and Canada.
- Strong understanding of tax planning strategies and experience in managing indirect taxes, including Goods and Services Tax (GST)/IGV/ indirect taxes.
