About the Role The Tax Manager will be instrumental in overseeing direct income tax matters for Mondelēz International's legal entities across Australia and New Zealand. This pivotal role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including tax compliance, ensuring adherence to transfer pricing regulations such as Advance Pricing Agreements, and contributing to strategic tax planning initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing group tax policies, manage tax audits, and proactively staying across the latest tax regulation updates to ensure continuous compliance and optimal tax positioning for the organisation. How you will contribute Monitor that direct tax related submissions (e.g. CIT returns, transfer pricing compliance report, APA negotiations, WHT on dividend/interest/royalty) are compliant with local regulation. Analyse business activities to identify the potential tax risks and opportunities and minimize the tax exposure. Provide technical support to the local finance team and facilitate the communication with local tax authorities and tax advisors to in case of local tax audits. Effectively liaise with the Regional Taxation Department, to minimize tax exposure to Mondelēz entities in Australia and New Zealand. Timing completion of tax accounting related activities, including UTP template, quarterly confirmation, ETR calculation, support on return-to-provision true-up. Ensure all group Tax Policies and Procedures are properly implemented and meet the local tax compliance requirement. Pro-actively explore and analyse tax regulation changes, evaluate and visualize impact, generate activities and train relevant organizations. Provide tax expertise to other functions to support business and streamline business operations. Provide internal tax training to other functions. What you will bring Strong experience in the tax industry (approx. 12 years). Comprehensive knowledge in taxation. Local statutory accounting & USGAAP knowledge. Budgeting / Forecasting skills. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge in FMCG industry is preferred. Experience in APA with tax authorities is preferred.
