The Position The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s tax compliance, advisory, and reporting obligations. The role ensures full compliance with Nigerian tax laws while supporting business operations through sound tax planning, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. What You’ll Do Manage end-to-end tax compliance across all applicable taxes, including CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE, and other statutory taxes. Ensure timely preparation, review, and filing of all tax returns in line with Nigerian tax laws (The NTA inclusive). Liaise with tax authorities and external advisors on audits, assessments, and queries. Support the Finance team on tax implications of business transactions and financial reporting. Monitor changes in Nigerian tax regulations and advise management on impact and compliance requirements. Maintain proper tax documentation, schedules, and working papers to support filings and audits. Provide guidance on tax risk management and ensure appropriate controls are in place. What You Bring He/she must possess a minimum of 5 years core tax experience. Tax experience in the financial services industry would be an added advantage. He/she must have a good knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian tax laws (The NTA inclusive). He/she must be a chartered accountant (ICAN) or a chartered tax practitioner (CITN). He/she must be proficient in the use of Microsoft documents (excel, word and power point). He/she must be analytic, creative and able to think on his/her feet & out of the box.
