JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead all aspects of our tax processes, including managing relationships with external tax preparation firms, auditing returns, reconciling withholdings, submitting timely and accurate payments, and overseeing software implementation to improve efficiency. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all tax audits, provides staff education to minimize assessments, and ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong tax compliance expertise, and a proven ability to streamline processes while maintaining accuracy.

You will manage and update all tax records and files, review policies, and ensure timely and accurate submission of sales, use, income, and payroll-related taxes. Acting as a liaison with outside tax firms, you’ll audit returns, reconcile accounts, and accrue the correct tax amounts. You will post and categorize transactions in the general ledger, analyze data with internal and external stakeholders, prepare audit documentation, and advise staff on tax matters. This role also involves applying new accounting policies, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and partnering with the CFO to improve processes and reporting.
