An opportunity exists for an experienced tax professional to take ownership of tax compliance, reporting and advisory activities within a complex financial services environment.This is a hands on role suited to someone who enjoys being close to the detail while partnering with stakeholders across finance and the broader business. You will be responsible for managing a broad range of tax obligations, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining strong controls and providing practical advice on tax related matters.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review corporate income tax, GST, FBT, PAYG and withholding tax obligations
• Manage tax reporting, provisions, deferred tax calculations and reconciliations
• Oversee regulatory and statutory tax reporting requirements
• Support transfer pricing, tax governance and related documentation
• Assess the tax impact of new products, transactions and business initiatives
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisers and regulatory bodies
• Monitor legislative changes and communicate impacts to key stakeholders
• Drive process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency and compliance

• About YouCA or CPA qualified
• Strong tax experience gained within financial services, banking, professional services or another complex environment
• Sound knowledge of Australian tax legislation and accounting standards
• Experience across both tax compliance and tax reporting
• Strong reconciliation, analytical and problem solving skills
• Advanced Excel capabilities
• Ability to communicate technical tax matters clearly to both finance and non finance stakeholders
• Hands on approach with a strong attention to detail
