QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Required: CPA designation
  • Must have at least 10 yrs of experience within an accounting firm focused in Tax
  • Must be interested in leadership
  • Ideal: CPA In-Depth Tax Certification
  • Several years of progressive experience in tax accounting at a senior or leadership level within an accounting firm
  • Proven expertise in corporate and personal taxation, including complex structures.
  • Strong leadership, client management, and business development skills.
  • Ability to work independently, build a team, and drive growth initiatives.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, CaseWare, Profile, iFirm, T-Value, MS Office).

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

A dynamic and well-established accounting firm with several locations across Canada is seeking a Tax Partner to join its leadership team. This is a unique opportunity for a senior CPA with extensive tax expertise to take on a leadership role while enjoying flexibility and substantial growth opportunities. The Partner will either need to be located in Sechelt or Cranbrook BC or have the ability to travel to Sechelt and Cranbrook once a week from the Vancouver region or nearby.
This is an incredible opportunity if you are currently a Senior Manager seeking a Partner opportunity. The firm offers a lucrative base salary, bonus, share opportunities ( a % of he company profits), commission on new clients brought into the firm.
This Partner will have the ability to build your own team on the Sunshine Coast, starting with the hire of a Senior Accountant to support the clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead corporate and personal tax services for a diverse client base, including Trusts, Not-for-Profits, and other structures.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise staff accountants; you will have the ability to hire your own accountant for the Sunshine Coast region.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor in tax planning and compliance.
  • Contribute to the firm’s strategic growth
  • Ensure compliance with CPA Canada Standards and statutory requirements.
  • Represent the firm on-site at Sechelt and Cranbrook as needed.
