SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with both Individual and Corporate Returns
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Registered Tax Return Preparer Test completed
  • Registration with the IRS with a valid PTIN
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable tax laws, regulations and deadlines
  • Proficient with common tax preparation, word processing and Excel software applications
  • Excellent customer service skills, including patience and flexibility
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience
  • Great organizations skills, including time management and strategic thinking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must ensure confidentiality

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Informing clients on the tax preparation process
  • Collecting relevant financial records, including W-2 and income statements
  • Preparing and submitting tax returns for clients.
  • Inputting data from financial records into tax return software or databases
  • Utilizing applicable federal, state and local tax law to determine deductions and the amount of each client’s earn on the return
  • Completing and filing tax documents with appropriate agencies, IRS, state and local government entities
  • Securing repeat business
  • Analyzing tax data submitted by the client to maximize the outcome for the client.
  • Acting as a representative for clients with applicable agencies as required
  • Building customer relationships to promote and expand the business
