You will be reporting directly to the Operations Manager of this growing, progressive, well established and privately-owned company with operations across Ontario and headquartered in Newmarket.
We are seeking a full-time Tax Sale Specialist
As a Tax Sale Specialist, you will be responsible for the administration of numerous files where the one-year period following the registration of a tax arrears certificate has expired. You will execute the required procedures and ensure that all the requirements of the pertinent legislation and regulations are adhered to. You will advise our clients on an ongoing basis and ensure that they are always provided with an outstanding level of service. You will work both individually, and as part of a close-knit team.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
· University Degree or College Diploma in Municipal Administration or in a comparable field of study;
· MTAP Certificate
· 5 years of proven experience in a municipal environment
· Experience in municipal property tax sales;
· Title searching experience an asset;
· Strong knowledge of pertinent legislation and regulations;
· Excellent customer service skills;
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines;
· Excellent eye for details;
· Strong organizational and time-management skills;
· Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint;
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
