Description
About the Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Tax Specialist Officer to join our growing Finance team. This role will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate tax compliance, managing local and international tax matters, and supporting tax planning initiatives. You will play a key part in maintaining compliance with Indonesian tax laws and supporting the expansion of our cross-border operations. Key Responsibilities: Tax Compliance: Prepare, review, and file monthly and annual tax returns (including PPh 21, PPh 23, PPh 4(2), PPh 26, Corporate Income Tax, and VAT). Ensure all tax filings are submitted accurately and on time in accordance with Indonesian tax regulations. Prepare GST Report for Singapore Entity and liaise with Singapore Tax Consultant for the Quarterly GST Claim Refund. Liaise with the Singapore Tax Consultant for Annual Tax Return of the Singapore Entity. Withholding & Tax Payments: Manage withholding tax for vendor and employee transactions. Ensure timely tax payments to the Indonesian Tax Authority (DJP). Tax Reconciliation: Reconcile tax reports with financial statements, including reconciliation working paper to supportthe the annual audit financial statement and tax audit Prepare an analysis of the differences between commercial and fiscal reporting. Tax Audit and Government Inquiries: Handle tax audits, objections, and appeals when necessary. Coordinate with external tax consultants or tax authorities. Tax Planning: Identify legal and effective tax-saving opportunities. Provide recommendations for tax-efficient transaction structures. Regulatory Updates: Monitor the latest tax regulation changes. Communicate the impact of new regulations to relevant internal teams (e.g., Finance, Product, Marketing, People). Documentation and Internal Reporting: Maintain supporting documentation for tax invoices, withholding slips, and internal reports for audit purposes. Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Economic Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.00 Certified in Brevet A & B (Brevet C is a plus). Minimum 2 years of experience in taxation, preferably in financial technology/startup industries. Strong understanding of Indonesian tax laws (Income Tax, VAT). Proficient with e-Faktur, e-Bupot, and Coretax systems. High attention to detail and strong analytical skills. Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally. Fluent in English (both Verbal and Written). Experience handling cross-border vendor taxation (WHT 26). Experience using Oracle Netsuite would be an advantage.
