Investigate and resolve tax discrepancies, notices, and inquiries. Research multi-state sales and use tax laws to ensure compliance. Respond to tax authorities and support audits by preparing documentation and updated certificates. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate tax setup in ERP systems. Assist with general accounting tasks and special projects as needed. Qualifications: Education Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience Minimum of 5 years in accounting, with at least 3 years focused on sales tax compliance. Experience with multi-jurisdictional tax reporting and audits. Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of multi-jurisdictional sales and use tax laws, exemption rules, and audit processes. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and tax compliance software (e.g., Avalara, Vertex, TaxJar). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modeling). Ability to research and resolve complex compliance issues with accuracy and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact with colleagues, auditors, customers, and tax authorities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing regulations in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to ethical standards and protection of sensitive company and customer data.
