JOB SUMMARY: This is a Tax Specialist II position in the General Tax Administration Program, Account Management Process, Account Creation Unit. The incumbent develops recommendations for and coordinates the implementation of specialized tax administration programs, analyzes tax program effectiveness, recommends and develops policy and procedure changes for program improvement, and consults with and assists departmental and external personnel with technical administration policies, procedures, and statutory issues. The incumbent also makes recommendations to improve the quality of policies, procedures, and processes and develops, coordinates, and/or serves as a consultant in planning, conducting, and implementing specialized conferences and training seminars for Department personnel as well as personnel from other state and federal agencies. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.   Eighteen months of experience performing registration related functions in the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX). Eighteen months of experience researching, interpreting, and applying Florida tax laws. SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $4,086.61 monthly/$49,039.36 annually.
