• Role Description The owner1 role at Kazoo Games is a full-time, on-site position based in Comfort, TX. This role is responsible for overseeing studio operations, shaping product and business strategy, and ensuring high-quality execution across game development projects. Day-to-day tasks include setting goals and priorities, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams (design, art, engineering, production), and making data-informed decisions to guide project roadmaps. The owner1 will manage budgets and resources, cultivate a positive and inclusive studio culture, and represent Kazoo Games in key external partnerships and business opportunities. This role also involves mentoring team members, removing obstacles to delivery, and continuously driving innovation and performance across the portfolio.QualificationsExperience leading game development teams or studios, with a proven track record of shipping successful mobile titles.
• Strong strategic and business skills, including product vision, roadmap planning, budgeting, and resource management.
• Background in game design, production, or related discipline, with the ability to collaborate effectively across art, engineering, and marketing.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to represent the company to partners and clients.
• Demonstrated ability to build inclusive, high-performing teams, foster a supportive culture, and coach team members.
• Comfort working on-site in Comfort, TX, with a hands-on approach to daily studio operations.
• Familiarity with mobile game platforms, analytics, and player engagement metrics; experience with casual or midcore games is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Game Production, Management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
