This represents a rare opportunity with a well established Mid Tier firm based in Melbourne. This firm has been in operation for many years and is very well known in the industry. This firm provides their clients with a wide variety of financial services.

POSITION

Due to strong growth and expansion, the position of Tax Specialist has been created.

This role will encompass and not limited to the following:

• The Provision of Expert Tax and Financial Advice:
  • Work alongside the Partners to provide expert advice in the areas of taxation and superannuation
  • Ability to network internally and with external specialists as needed
  • Liaise directly with clients and prepare pieces of advice as needed
• Training and mentoring
  • Implement, oversee, manage and maintain the tax advisory and SMSF training program for the firm
  • Ad hoc mentoring to staff as needed

CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

• CA Qualified
• CTA (highly desirable)
• Masters of Taxation (highly desirable)
• 10+ years experience within Australian Public Practice within tax consulting/tax advisory
• Demonstrate a deep understanding of tax regulations and successful tax strategy implementation
• Expert level knowledge on SMSFs and BGL
• Previous experience running training sessions
• Exhibit exceptional leadership skills
• Stable employment history
• Full working rights (no sponsorship provided)
