Nick Corieri with Robert Half is looking for an experienced accountant to join a growing CPA firm in East Syracuse, New York. This role focuses primarily on tax practices, with occasional involvement in small compilations and reviews. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in public accounting and a commitment to delivering high-quality services to clients.

• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, and other entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Conduct small-scale compilations and reviews as required, delivering clear and precise results.
• Stay informed about changes in tax laws and accounting standards to provide up-to-date guidance.
• Collaborate with clients to address tax-related inquiries and provide strategic advice.
• Maintain organized and detailed records of all tax filings and related documentation.
• Assist with GAAP accounting tasks and ensure adherence to standard practices.
• Support the team in meeting deadlines during peak tax seasons.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills and expertise.
• Build strong client relationships through effective communication and personalized service.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in public accounting, preferably with a focus on tax.
• Proficiency in GAAP accounting principles and practices.
• Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns for various entities.
• Knowledge of compilation and review processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPA license preferred, but not required; willingness to pursue certification is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
