WHO WILL THRIVE HERE?
A CPA, or someone close to qualifying.
A strong Senior who’s itching to take the next step, or a Supervisor who wants more ownership.
Someone collaborative, adaptable, and happy to do what’s needed — whether that’s client planning or rolling up sleeves for compliance detail.
Exposure to general accounting alongside tax is a bonus.
A LOT OF SUPERVISOR ROLES FEEL LIKE LIMBO. TOO MUCH RESPONSIBILITY TO BE A SENIOR, NOT ENOUGH AUTONOMY TO BE A MANAGER.
This isn’t one of those roles.
This is a chance to step into a growing independent CPA firm in North Dallas. A close-knit team of 5–10 people, including two CPAs, where succession and growth mean you’ll have space to carve out a bigger role. One of the senior team is heading toward retirement, and the firm is busy (growing organically and through acquisitions) so they want someone who’s ready to step up, take ownership, and keep things moving.
The work? A genuine blend: 1040s for high-net-worth individuals (think attorneys and legal partners), 1065s for partnerships, 1120-S for S Corps, and 1120s for corporates. Real estate entrepreneurs. Hospitality businesses. Owner-managed businesses. You’ll review, you’ll prepare, you’ll manage client relationships, and yes, you’ll get into the weeds when needed. That’s small-firm life.
WHY CONSIDER THIS ROLE?
