Tax Technology Services Analyst (National Tax - Indirect Tax) (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1611133), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Dallas, TX.
Develop, implement, and integrate technology solutions that better serve tax clients and engagement teams. Apply proficiencies in the use of major tax technology tools, including application development, data acquisition and transformation, and data analytics and visualization/reporting. Work with tax-technical subject matter professionals to develop and deploy data and technology solutions that will enable them to efficiently and effectively deliver quality tax consulting. Assess, improve and monitor tax functions’ processes. Develop new solutions to target tax opportunities and create advancements in the market. Develop or enhance proficiency in the use of major technology tools. Identify alternate methods to using technology to maximize client service engagement team efforts. Monitor penetration and performance of technology services and communicate to leadership. Monitor competitive and client feedback and needs and communicate with leadership to develop appropriate responses, product or communications Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.
Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Law, Management Information Systems, Tax, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in tax process improvement. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Law, Management Information Systems, Tax, or a related field and 4 years of work experience in tax process improvement.
Must have 4 years of experience in IT solution design and development.
Must have 4 years of experience with process analysis tools, process mapping, and flow chart diagramming.
Must have 3 years of experience designing and developing databases.
Must have 3 years of technology experience working with Microsoft Excel and Access in a tax or accounting-related context.
Must have 4 years of experience programming in Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications, SQL, .Net, or Java.
Must have 3 years of experience working in tax compliance or advisory services in one of the following: Federal Tax, Indirect Tax, or State and Local Tax (SALT).
Requires domestic travel up to 50% to serve client needs.
