Description:

JOB SPECIFICATIONS (QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCES):

  • Must be able lift heavy objects
  • Understand basic written/spoken English and/or a secondary working language.
  • Possess a customer oriented attitude with good communication skills.
  • Able to use electronics devices e.g. tablets and walkie-talkies.
  • Maintain a well-groomed and tidy appearance required of a service staff.
  • Able to adapt and collaborate, with a strong ability to work well in a team.
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to perform 1 of the 3 shifts (Day/Afternoon/Night).

3 Types of Shift (Select a permanent shift)

  • S1 630am to 2.40pm
  • S2 210pm to 1030pm
  • S3 1020pm to 640am

Responsibilities:

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work as part of Taxi Coordination Team to ensure the smooth operation at taxi stand, by managing a consistent taxi supply, directing taxis into assigned taxi bays and assigning passengers to available taxis on a first-in, first-out principle.
  • Collect used trolleys, wheelchairs, and baby strollers from taxi zones, including gathering, stacking, and transporting them to designated Staging Points.
  • Provide customer-focused service by guiding and directing passengers from queues to taxi bays.
  • Manage the passenger queue by opening and closing bend queues to optimize queue routing for passengers and prevent queue overflow onto thoroughfares.
  • Ensure passenger safety when they cross the driveway to the taxi bays.
  • Coordinate seamlessly between the taxi stands in the terminal.
  • Manage taxi supply queuing at the Taxi Holding Area.
  • Direct unauthorized vehicles out of operational areas.
  • Offer passengers accurate information regarding fare differences, payment options and taxi types upon request.
  • Assist passengers in choosing alternate transportation options based on their needs, especially during periods of low supply.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Operations Supervisor/ Taxi OIC.

PERIODIC DUTIES:

  • Carry out ad hoc tasks assigned by Operations Supervisors, including:
  • Redirect taxis to other terminals or taxi stands.
  • Set up bypasses and/or implement double queues for taxis at Taxi Holding Area.
  • Offer alternative transportation options to passengers.
  • Address passenger inquiries.
