This role is ideal for caregivers with experience in psych support, behavioral health, TBI care, redirection, de-escalation, structured routines, and trauma-informed care. We are looking for professionals who can bring calm, consistency, and strong judgment into the home while supporting dignity, safety, and independence. **This position includes a client-specific assignment paying $22/hour. Please note that additional shifts or other client assignments may be compensated starting at our standard base rate of $17/hour depending on the case.** What We Offer Full-time and part-time opportunities Flexible scheduling Health, dental, and vision after 90 days PTO after 1 year Supplemental benefits available Referral bonuses Paid travel time when serving multiple clients in one day Overtime opportunities Family owned and operated Supportive office team and in-office socials/events Recognition and bonus opportunities Responsibilities Provide non-medical in-home support for veterans with TBI, cognitive impairment, PTSD, behavioral dysregulation, anxiety, depression, or other psych-related needs Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, meal preparation, and light housekeeping Maintain a structured, calm, low-conflict environment Use redirection, cueing, de-escalation, and trauma-informed communication Support routines that reduce confusion, agitation, impulsivity, and overstimulation Observe behavior changes and report concerns promptly to the care team Transport to appointments or errands as appropriate Document care accurately and professionally Build trust with both client and family while maintaining boundaries and consistency Ideal Candidate Experience caring for clients with TBI, PTSD, memory impairment, mental health diagnoses, or behavioral challenges Comfortable working in homes where emotional regulation, structure, and safety awareness are important Able to remain calm under pressure and respond professionally to difficult situations Strong communication, patience, and observation skills Understands the importance of routine, dignity, and veteran-centered care Preferred Qualifications CNA or HHA certification Experience in home care, psych support, memory care, rehab support, or direct support roles Familiarity with brain injury care, behavior support, trauma-informed care, or crisis prevention techniques Experience serving veterans Requirements Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Auto insurance Ability to pass background screening Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely as needed Professionalism, reliability, and strong attendance Why This Role Matters Veterans living with brain injuries often need more than basic caregiving.
