JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Business Systems Analysts, you will have the opportunity to work with one of our various teams within the Technology and Data Governance group. You will be treated as an equal member of the team, gaining meaningful experiences that contribute to improvements in our technology platforms and data management capabilities.
This role could involve working with core banking, customer servicing, or customer engagement platforms, as well as data governance functions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Passion for emerging technologies and data governance best practices.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Visio, SQL, or similar data visualization and analytical tools.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data management practices, enterprise data policy, and strategy.
  • Expertise in Line of Business data strategy, data risk management, and data lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with analytical software tools, data analysis methods, and reporting techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrate discretion in handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities may vary by area but may include the following:

  • Work with business partners to define, develop, and document detailed business requirements.
  • Provide data governance expertise and execute data governance activities.
  • Contribute to various operational activities and processes as assigned.
  • Be knowledgeable about data management practices and procedures within the functional area, staying informed of emerging trends.
  • Assist and drive automation of data management practices, including metadata, data lineage, authoritative sources, data usage, and data quality rules.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and quality engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions from concept to production.
  • Prepare business metrics, reports, and ad hoc analytics related to data governance and financial analysis.
  • Conduct internal and external research projects, developing reports and presentations for management.
  • Troubleshoot and determine root causes of application issues.
  • Conduct program/system research, analysis, and problem resolution.
