Code Camp is Australia’s leading provider of school holiday and after-school tech programs, and we’re currently hiring facilitators/educators! This role is ideal for uni students, for example, studying Education, Software Engineering, Video Game Development, etc. looking for hands-on experience working with kids while building confidence and skills in tech and leadership. Is this you?: Experienced or interested in working with kids aged 5 - 12 Passionate about fields such as coding, minecraft, animation, science and creativity Able to work approx 3pm - 5pm once a week over 8 weeks at a school near you Someone who feels confident speaking in front of a group, is enthusiastic and a good problem solver Trustworthy, independent, punctual, and reliable Looking to get more experience and references for your resume About the position: Our Mount Druitt location runs Thursdays during Term 3 (other days of work are available for the right person) You will be provided our fun easy-to-follow lesson plan to deliver to a small class of primary-aged children Paid training provided as well as constant support from a our online tech-support team Staff are required to supply their own Laptop and HDMI adapter for personal use Required Skills/Certifications: While we don’t require a specific degree, you should have some or all of the following: Valid Working With Children Check (or willing to obtain immediately) Prior experience working with or being around young kids (aged 5 - 12) is essential as this role involves leading a class Tech-savvy with an interest in science, tech and creativity Mature outlook, common sense and the ability to supervise children Great customer service when speaking to school staff or parents Fluent conversational English If this sounds like you, submit your resume and cover letter now to let us know why you are interested in teaching kids about creative tech!
