What You’ll Do: • Provides instruction in business office education (e.g., typing, general business) and individual assistance • Assesses educational needs of inmates • Develops lesson plans to address those needs to include individual assignments and training • Provides instruction and individual assistance • Administers, scores and interprets examinations and proficiency indicators • Maintains discipline and/or security • Counsels’ students concerning their performance, behavior and/or personal problems. • Attends meetings as required • Prepares required records and reports (e.g., enrollment, grades, student progress) • Inventories and orders supply and materials needed • Researches, selects and recommends new teaching materials. • Attends in-service training sessions and workshops for professional development • Performs other duties as assigned Must meet eligibility requirements for Teacher Certificate/License appropriate for career-tech administrative office tech & grade level as assigned*; Teacher 1, 71371, must also have baccalaureate degree or less per OEA agreement. NOTE: Applicant must successfully obtain Teacher Certificate or License prior to employment.
