Description The 3–5 Classroom Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing instruction aligned with the Core Knowledge/Classical curriculum to support the academic and personal growth of students. Compensation and Benefits Full-time, Exempt Salary based on education and experience Eligible for health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid leave benefits Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience in classroom instruction (student teaching or 1+ years preferred) Preferred Valid Colorado teaching license in elementary education Master's degree in Education Familiarity with Core Knowledge/Classical curriculum Training in differentiated instruction and classroom management strategies Duties and Responsibilities Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with Core Knowledge/Classical curriculum standards. Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment that fosters student engagement and academic excellence. Use varied instructional strategies, materials, and assessments to meet the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical needs of students. Design learning experiences that challenge students to reach their full potential. Maintain an orderly, safe, and welcoming classroom environment. Collaborate with grade-level and school-wide colleagues to strengthen curriculum and instruction. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, expectations, and school initiatives. Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events. Represent the school’s mission, values, and policies with professionalism in all interactions. Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and progress records within the student information system. Assess student learning regularly and provide timely feedback, progress reports, and deficiency notices. Conduct parent-teacher conferences to support student success. Submit lesson plans, assessments, and reports as required. Maintain proper classroom discipline and supervision to ensure safety and effective learning. Prepare substitute teacher lesson plans and classroom materials as needed. Assist with supervisory duties such as carpool, recess, and lunch coverage. Perform additional duties as assigned by school administration.
