Description Saint Charles Borromeo Academy is seeking a part time Teacher Aide for our elementary and middle school classrooms. Partnering with parents in their role as primary educators, Saint Charles Borromeo Academy extends the mission of the Church in forming true disciples of Jesus Christ. We seek to instill a natural desire for wisdom and virtue in all students. This position will report to the Principal. Responsibilities Understand and uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church. Provide individual care for the physical, social, and emotional needs of the young child while promoting and modeling the mission of the Catholic Church. Work in a collaborative way with the lead teacher to create a positive learning environment for our scholars. Work with and under direction of the the lead teacher in preparing materials, directing activities, and caring for each individual scholar while encouraging spiritual and mental growth to ensure proper development is taking place. Participate in and complete required training through professional development opportunities. Demonstrate professionalism, including confidentiality, when working with administration, staff, parents and children, while promoting positive relationships and effectively communicating with others. Manage and set high behavior standards within the classroom and building. Requirements Candidates for positions at Borromeo Academy: Experience in a early childhood setting is strongly encouraged Be a role model of Christian love, faith, truthfulness, and virtue. Must be physically able to perform the job of a teacher/caregiver of young children.
