  TEACHER ASSISTANT Location: Valhalla, NY, 10595 Locations: Valhalla & Ossining Locations: All Aboard has positions available in both locations, which are easily accessible by public transportation. OVERVIEW Teacher Assistants work closely with the Teacher to create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for a specific group of children. Teacher Assistants support the Teacher in all classroom responsibilities, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in early childhood education. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Collaborate with the Teacher to develop and implement engaging lesson plans that inspire curiosity and support each child’s development. * Assist with learning opportunities that build self-esteem, confidence, and essential social skills. * Actively engage with children through play-based learning to encourage exploration, creativity, and meaningful learning experiences. * Support developmentally appropriate expectations that foster social, emotional, and cognitive development. * Provide supporting observations and assessments of children’s progress using the approved assessment tools. * Assist with open, professional, and positive communication with all families. * Work productively with colleagues and Administration by participating in staff meetings and professional development opportunities. * Contribute to a positive team culture built on mutual respect and collaboration. REQUIREMENTS * High School diploma (or its equivalent) * Credits toward Associates or BA degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred) * Minimum 1 year experience in the field of Early Childhood Education * Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices * Strong written and verbal communication skills JOB TYPE Full-time / Part-time ```
