Reading Rock Stars is on the lookout for a dedicated Teacher Assistant to support our team of experienced tutors in delivering transformative reading, writing, and spelling programs to children aged 3-12. This part-time role is perfect for a university student currently studying a related field, offering the chance to gain valuable experience and make a significant impact on children’s literacy.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Currently pursuing a degree in education, early childhood education, or a related field.
• Familiarity with phonics and a keen interest in applying various phonics methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Word, OneNote, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage time and tasks.
• Enthusiasm for working with children and contributing to their educational journey.

• Assist lead tutors with general classroom management and activities.
• Support marking of assignments and assessments.
• Help develop and organize teaching materials and resources.
• Engage with students during multi-sensory hands-on activities, crafts, and educational games.
• Maintain a supportive and child-safe teaching environment.
