A YMCA teacher assistant will help... * taking attendance  * supervision of students * documenting student progress  * teach small groups * plan curriculum  * attend trainings, classes and meetings * listen to and read to children  * help children to complete tasks   * oversee students during lunch time ,rest and outdoor play * communicate with parents about their children's days and needs Qualifications We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children.  Someone who is willing to work along with coworkers to ensure the safety and well being the students in the center, while assisting in teaching a literacy based curriculum.   
Responsibilities
The Teacher Assistant supports students through supervision, attendance tracking, and documenting progress. They are responsible for teaching small groups, planning curriculum, and communicating with parents.
