JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educators in creating a positive learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves assisting teachers in classroom activities, providing individualized support to students, and fostering an inclusive atmosphere for all learners.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices.
  • Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
  • Familiarity with special education practices and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • First aid certification is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when necessary.
  • A nurturing attitude towards children along with patience and empathy in all interactions.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
  • Support students with special needs and disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations.
  • Foster a safe and nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies.
  • Supervise students during playtime, lunch, and other non-classroom activities.
