Lead Teacher
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a positive learning experience
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive educational program
- Assess and monitor the progress of each child
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s development and progress
- Implement strategies to support children with developmental disabilities or special needs
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to promote a positive learning environment
- Incorporate speech therapy, physical education, and other specialized services as needed
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities or special needs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and educational activities
- Knowledge of special education strategies and techniques
- Familiarity with childcare regulations and licensing requirements
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.50 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
