We are also keen to have a vision that the children can recall easily and so we have taken elements of the school prayer which is already well known to the children and seems to sum up all that we wish to achieve.   We are looking for a teacher who can work 3 days a week – either Monday, Wednesday and Thursday OR Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, working in a number of classes in both KS1 and KS2 for PPA cover. This job is temporary fixed term for 1 year from September 2026 – August 2027.    We are looking for someone who can: * Provide PPA (Planning, Preparation & Assessment) cover across a variety of classes in KS1 and KS2. * Plan and deliver high-quality, creative and enjoyable lessons for a range of age groups and abilities to encourage independence and a love of learning. * Maintain excellent classroom management, ensuring a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment. * Adapt teaching to suit the needs and abilities of a wide range of year groups in mixed age classes. * Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity and progression in pupils’ learning. * Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting high expectations and positive attitudes. * Potential candidates should be able to plan effectively and should also be committed to creative and enjoyable learning; something we pride ourselves on.   We can offer you: * Friendly and supportive staff who work well together for the benefit of polite, happy and independent children as well as the opportunity to work in a school with some of the best views in the county!    This post is covered by the Childcare Disqualification Regulations 2018.   The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2018 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2018 Regulations.   If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2018 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.   Additional Information This authority is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All staff will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau).
