The Opportunity
If you’re a dedicated and experienced educator with a passion for guiding young people towards their future pathways, this is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact within a vibrant educational environment.
This pivotal role as a Careers and VET Coordinator (0.3 FTE), alongside a 0.7 FTE teaching load, is instrumental in overseeing the delivery of Career and VET programs in collaboration with our Dean of Curriculum, Heads of Departments, and teaching staff. You’ll be supporting students to identify their career pathways, monitoring Workplace and Service Learning programs, and assisting students in pre-apprenticeship programs. A key part of your role will be collaborating with parents, businesses, industry, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), and community organisations to help students transition smoothly to post-secondary education and employment.

What you’ll bring

  • Current registration with the TRBWA with a minimum of five years of teaching experience.
  • The ability to communicate professionally, positively, and diplomatically with a wide range of people, including students, parents, teachers, and external agencies.
  • A good working knowledge of Vocational Education, including relationships with TAFE and RTOs.
  • A view of schools as not just places of learning, but as places of community where staff, students and families can find belonging and connection.
