2. TEACHING

a) To undertake class teaching and all associated preparatory, assessment, recording and reporting work, in a subject specialism and/or other curriculum areas.
b) To demonstrate skills in, and understanding of, a variety of teaching and learning strategies.
c) To lead and/or substantially contribute to the planning and delivery of any necessary policy documents and schemes of work for those subjects.
d) To impart knowledge skills and understanding to each pupil following planned schemes of work that deliver the National Curriculum both within and if appropriate outside the prescribed Key Stages and programmes of study for each subject delivered.
e) To impart knowledge skills and understanding to each pupil following modified and individualised schemes of work that deliver the National Curriculum both within and if appropriate outside the prescribed Key Stages and programmes of study for each subject delivered.
f) To regularly review the methods of teaching and programmes of work.
g) To actively and demonstrably support and promote literacy, numeracy, ICT, careers and Key Skills via their curriculum areas.
h) To actively and demonstrably support and promote both the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the students and to instill British Values via their curriculum areas. i) To keep abreast with current thinking and development by attendance at appropriate courses, reading and other professional development and training.
j) To participate in meetings at the school which relate to the curriculum or the organisation and administration of the school.

Responsibilities
  1. GENERAL a) To undertake any duties of an appropriate nature as may be reasonably required by the Head of Campus to which he/she may be directed to work as a teacher.
    b) To participate in any arrangements within an agreed national framework for the appraisal of his/her own performance and that of other staff.
    c) To maintain both the health and safety of self, colleagues and critically of all students including good order and discipline: to do so within the school’s policies and guidelines.
    d) To be familiar with and follow all the school’s policies and guidelines on all areas and aspects of school life.
    e) To play a full part in the cycle of school and self-evaluation, plan-do-review.
    f) To maintain a classroom or rooms to the highest standard: supporting the comfort, safety, self-esteem and learning of the students.
