Job Overview
The Teacher Early Childhood CTE CENTER will plan and implement an instructional program and provide related educational services for 3 and 4 year old students. The incumbent will manage student behavior, assess and evaluate student achievement, and modify instructional activities as required; carry out a variety of student monitoring and controls activities.

The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Attendance at conferences and professional development is required. Work involves everyday risks and discomforts which require normal safety precautions when operating equipment or performing job duties. May work prolonged or irregular hours and must be able to maintain emotional control under stress.

Additional Information

  • Exposure to bodily fluids and frequent childhood, pre-teen, or teen illnesses may occur. Work is performed in an office or classroom setting and is subject to many interruptions. Some assignments involve working with parents and the general public.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in education required
  • Master’s Degree in early childhood education or early childhood special education preferred
  • Valid Teaching Certification Issued by Texas Educaiton Agency appropriate to subject and grade level of assignment
  • Valid Bilingual Certification Bilingual Certification for Bilingual Program preferred
  • Valid Texas ESL Certification ESL Certification needed for English/ESL Program preferred
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationship
  • Ability to collect and analyze data for instruction and program evaluation purposes
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, in English and Spanish
  • Good knowledge of FBISD program of students related to assignments and public school mission, goals, and organization. Good knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment of instructional specialty(ies) to which assigned
