Description
Responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for assigned age group. Manages well-run, organized, responsive learning environment and synchronizes the roles of teaching staff to ensure delivery of quality programming. Monitors teacher:child ratio to ensure proper supervision of children. Observes, records, and assesses the progress of each child and designs activities to further develop the identified skills and abilities. Works with specialists to create goals and oversees the implementation of intervention plans (ISFP and IEP). Education Associate Degree: in Early Childhood Education or related field (Required) Bachelor Degree: in Early Childhood Education or related field (Preferred) Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Experience General experience in a related teaching role with young children, or completion of teaching practicum (Required) General experience and knowledge of DHS regulations and PA Early Learning Standards (Required) General Experience and knowledge of Ages & Stages Questionnaires, Ounce Scale, and Work Sampling (Preferred) General Experience and knowledge of Environmental Rating Scale (ERS) standards and NAEYC Standards (Preferred) License/Certifications Required within 90 days of hire: Completion of Get Started with Center-based Care: Building Blocks for Quality, Pediatric First Aid CPR and Mandated Reporter Training. Mandated Reporter Training to be maintained every 5 years. Fire Safety Training required within a year of hire. _
