JOB SUMMARY:

The Family and Consumer Science Teacher is responsible for providing students with a comprehensive understanding of life management skills, including nutrition, personal finance, human development, parenting, textiles, culinary arts, and other areas that support students in becoming independent, productive citizens. The teacher fosters a positive and engaging classroom environment that supports student learning and personal growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Family and Consumer Sciences (state-specific).
  • Strong knowledge of current instructional strategies and best practices in FCS.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage students and differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience teaching FCS at the secondary level.
  • Knowledge of or experience with career and technical education (CTE) frameworks.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $55,156.00 - $74,300.00 per year
